Hong Lim Food Centre is home to many famous hawker stalls, all of which have garnered a large following of die-hard fans.
I usually eat the crayfish hor fun (SGD4) with an additional order of dumpling soup (SGD2) when I come here.
There was, as usual, a long line in front of
Tuck Kee (Ipoh) Sah Ho Fun (Block 531A Upper Cross Street #02-41 Hong Lim Food Centre), but the queue moves quickly and I got my horfun and dumpling soup within 15 minutes.

The hor fun was smooth and silky, and delicious. The crayfish was fresh and well-cooked. The prawns, sliced in half, are meticulously cleaned of the icky black intestine in the middle. The gravy was hearty, and made from true crayfish and prawn stock.

The dumplings are made with a whole prawn, no chopped-up bits of non-descript mystery meats here. And they don't dump in bits of fat either. It's very good.
A hearty meal for just SGD6.
